Making sexual preferences public

When the GOP Congress impeached and tried President Clinton, the left told us that while adultery is immoral, what a person does in the privacy of his or her own bedroom is none of the public's business. Now, the Kerry/Edwards ticket has taken to pointing out the fact that one of Vice President Cheney's daughters is a lesbian. So, I guess if you are a Republican, your daughter's sexual acts matter, but if you are a Democrat President, they do not. Especially when you direct military strikes to distract the news cycle from your impeachment hearing.
