Choose death

The murderers at Michigan planned parenthood oppose a bill which would have the state of Michigan begin offering vehicle owners the option to have license plates which say "Choose life". The group says that only one side of the argument is being promoted by the state government, and that's not fair. It seems to me that the abortion racketeers at PP would like it if they could buy a license plate which says "Choose death". After all, isn't that the opposite of choosing life?

A few weeks ago, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU of Tennessee teamed up to fight the same license plates. They oppose free speech and they "laud the U.S. District Court's ruling finding 'Choose Life' license plates unconstitutional. Both organizations argued that the license plate was viewpoint discrimination and was a violation of the first amendment right of free speech".

Said Jeff Teague, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee. "The court has shown that, when the State Legislature creates a public forum, i.e. a license plate, that pro-choice Tennesseans must have equal access to that forum and the right to express their opinion on a license plate as well."

Apparently, the phrase "Choose life" has no meaning whatsoever outside of the abortion discussion. What about the drug and alcohol abuse discussion? What about the suicide discussion? What about the gang violence discussion?

It really makes me sick to see federal courts being used to prevent automobile owners from displaying a message which champions the basic cause of life. Not to mention, the explicit right to life is protected by the 5th and 14th amendments of the US Constitution. The opposite of "life" is "death" not "choice". The opposite of "choice" is "dictatorship", which despite their perception, we do not live under. So, I say let's give the baby-killers what they want. I'll keep my "Choose life" plate, and they can have their "Choose death" plates.
